Biography
Negin Sadeghi is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). She started her Ph.D. in September 2020 in collaboration with OWI-Lab, which aims to initiate, support, and execute R&D and innovation projects in wind energy. Negin’s field of study is on Fatigue, and she has already worked on SafeLife and MAXwind projects related to Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and Fatigue Lifetime Assessment of Bridges, Industrial roof girders, and Offshore Wind Turbines (OWT). Her current focus is on improving the available data-based methods of fatigue damage and lifetime assessment of OWTs.
