Biography
Sanjeev Sheshadri holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from India (2019) and a Master’s
degree in Electromechanical Engineering – Aeronautics from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (2023). Currently, he is a PhD researcher at the Additive Manufacturing Research Lab (AMRL) at VUB, where his work centers onthe design of smart structures for structural health and usage monitoring in load-bearing applications.
Sanjeev brings a strong foundation in R&D from his experience as an Engineer at TE Connectivity (2019-2020), where he developed electromechanical connectors. He also worked as a Research Assistant at VUB AMRL (2023-2024), focusing on smart structure design and CAD/CAM for in-house Directed Energy
Deposition (DED) projects.
With a deep passion for product design, Sanjeev specializes in the application of Design for Excellence (DfX) principles to advanced manufacturing technologies, driving innovation in the field.
