Biography
Dr. Wout Weijtjens is a senior research engineer and FWO Post-doctoral fellow. Wout Weijtjens did his PhD under the supervision of prof. P. Guillaume on the topic of Transmissibility based operational modal analysis. His PhD was submitted late 2014. After the PhD, his research focused on applications in the offshore wind energy sector. Currently, Wout is primarily active in the Offshore wind infrastructure lab where he coordinates research on monitoring the substructures of offshore wind turbine. His primary research interests are structural dynamics, fatigue life estimation and life time extension and measurement technology. Wout is also a recurring representative for BruWind in the EAWE board.
