Biography
Oscar Olarte received the degree on Electronic Engineer and Master in Engineering Sciences from the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) Colombia in 2004 and 2007 respectively. His work was related to wavelet signal processing for the identification of wide complex tachycardia. In 2014 received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering Sciences from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). The PhD topic includes impedance spectroscopy for the development of glucose sensors, fractional models and electronic odor systems and sensors. In 2015 Oscar joined the department of Mechanical Engineering (MECH-VUB) where develop estimators based on input-output and output-output information. His main research interests are signal treatment, modeling, Identification, measuring methods, estimators and applied statistics.
